This Cartier Men’s Ballon Blue Watch is both luxurious and elegant, making it very likely to impress. It’s automatic movement lives in a 42mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal face. The bracelet is also stainless steel and other features include a “roman numeral silvered opaline dial with guilloché detailing,” date display, and sword-shaped blued steel hands. Just be careful – if you’re lady-friend sees you wearing a Cartier watch, she may ask you to take her there for some shopping as well (and that could get expensive).

Watches from Bell & Ross Time Instruments are crafted by designers and specialists of aircraft and space controls. Worn by pilots, astronauts, deep sea divers, and bomb disposal experts, they are watches designed for precision professional use. Pictured is the BR 01-92 from their Heritage Collection which is inspired by cockpit instruments from the 1970s. It’s powered by automatic movement, has index marks and hands with a sand-colored photoluminescent finish for night reading, and is water resistant to 100 meters (even though it’s designed for flying). If you have a plane, you probably won’t mind the $3,400 sticker price.

Just because you can’t afford a Rolex, it doesn’t mean you can’t still wear a nice watch. This Armani watch with a leather strap is affordable, simple, and sleek. It has no diamonds or gold, but it will still tell the time and look appropriate on your wrist in the office. While you’re waiting for the big promotion to get a Breitling or such, you can still look good with a watch that costs as much as a long night drinking in New York City. Currently $60 off on Amazon.
I know it’s 2010, but I was still a bit surprised to see a $41,112 watch for sale on Amazon. This Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945 Men’s automatic watch features an 18k rose gold case and alligator skin leather strap. You will be the man when around watch aficionados but keep in mind that with 41 grand you could by 1,000 cheap Timex watches and 285 baby alligators (had to do a little pet alligator research to get that statistic).
