America’s dirtiest teddy bear is back. With Morgan Freeman too.
Before you watch this trailer, please note it’s a bit NSFW as it has a slew of f-bombs and no shortage of boobs. Dom Hemingway (played by Jude Law) is out of jail and now looking to make up for lost time and if the trailer is any indication, it’s going to be one hell of a ride. Plus Emilia Clarke (Daenerys in GOT) is in it, so we are already signed up for the film when it hits theaters April 4, 2014.
There’s a basic rule of thumb that when a movie is directed by Martin Scorsese and stars Leonardi DiCaprio: you go see it. In The Wolf of Wall Street, DiCaprio plays Jordan Belfort, a real-life stock swindler who was released from prison in 2006 after a 22 month stint in jail. Due to hit theaters on Christmas, the film also stars Matthew McConaughey and Jonah Hill.
Directed by Derek Cianfrance (Blue Valentine), The Place Beyond The Pines stars Ryan Gosling as a motorcycle stunt rider turned bank robber and the trailer definitely caught our attention. The film also stars Ray Liotta, Bradley Cooper, and the beautiful Eva Mendes. Due to hit US theaters March 29th.
There are plenty of cheesy crime movies out there but The Iceman, which is based on the true story of family man and contract killer Richard Kuklinski definitely looks intense and gritty. The cast is also very impressive including Michael Shannon, James Franco, Ray Liotta, Chris Evans and Winona Ryder to name a few. Check out the trailer, The Iceman is due to hit US theaters May 3rd.
We love gritty crime movies as much as the next guy and Killing Them Softly looks like it can be a good one. Brad Pitt stars as Jackie Cogan, an enforcer who is investigating the robbery of a mob-protected poker game. Coming November 30th, the film also features James Gandolfini and Ray Liotta. Check out the trailer.
Due to hit theaters September 28th, Looper stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Joe, a mob hitman who kills targets sent from 30 years in the future. Things change for the assassin when the mob sends back his future self to be taken out. Bruce Willis plays an older Joe and it looks like Gordon-Levitt spent some extra time in the make-up chair to make the two actors look more alike. Also features Emily Blunt and Jeff Daniels, check out the trailer.
There isn’t really anything more grim than the end of the world, but Steve Carell can somehow make it funny. Seeking a Friend for the End of the World hits theaters June 22nd and Carell’s character is joined by his neighbor (played by the absolutely beautiful Keira Knightley) after his wife takes off in a panic as an asteroid nears Earth. Also featuring the hilarious Patton Oswalt, this summer movie looks like it can be a good one. In the meantime, check out the trailer!
