You normally wouldn’t associate the skating footwear brand Vans with electronics, but this new iPhone case wonderfully merges the two. Designed to fit the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S the flexible rubber Vans iPhone Case features a replica of the Vans waffle cone shoe sole to protect your phone, which is both fun and functional. While many were hoping for the release of an iPhone 5 this fall, it appears that the iPhone 4S will have to satisfy all the Apple fanboys and junkies for now. While it may be disappointing to some expecting a whole new phone – the 4S still has some significant improvements such as an 8MP camera and Apple’s dual-core A5 chip. iOS 5 will bring over 200 new software features including group messaging, enhanced photo options, and Siri – a voice control system you can use to make calls, play music, respond to messages, surf the web, schedule appointments, check the weather and more. Siri even talks back (hmm sounds a bit like HAL). Starting at $199, it’ll be available on Verizon, AT&T, & Sprint on October 14th.
Apple just announced their new line of the MacBook Pro laptops available with 13″, 15″, and 17″ screens. Now with the option of a 2.2GHz quad-core Intel processor, the new MacBook has plenty of processing power. An HD camera will connect you to FaceTime so you can chat with people on other MacBooks and even call an iPhone 4 or new iPod touch. Loaded with iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band, you’ll be able to make movies, dress-up photos, and make tunes. However, if you’re looking to get real professional, the new Thunderbolt input/output technology will allow you to connect to high-speed peripherals and high-resolution displays at a rate 12x faster than FireWire and 20x faster than USB. The wait is over. The Apple iPhone will soon be available through a mobile carrier other than AT&T. On 2.10.11 the iPhone 4 for Verizon will be released. Having an improved antenna to avoid the dropped calls issue, the phone will otherwise be virtually the same as it’s AT&T counterpart. If you’re one of the Verizon users who has been waiting for the iPhone, you can get a 16 GB for $199 or a 32 GB for $299 in less than a month. Analysts predict 9-13 million will be sold in 2011, so don’t be surprised if availability is a little tight at first!
Today Steve Jobs revealed the much anticipated iPhone 4 – a significant upgrade to the already awesome Apple iPhone 3Gs. The new phone doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel but is rather a regular iPhone on steroids, adding features that original iPhone users long sought. One big feature is that it has front and rear cameras allowing video chat, cool ARG possibilities, and HD video recording. Running off the iPad’s A4 chip, the iPhone 4 will move along faster and the “Retina Display” with a 960 x 640 resolution will make viewing incredibly vivid. Also mentionable is that the iPhone 4 adds a gyroscope, which along with the existing accelerometer will enable even more precise gaming controls. Starting at $199 for a 16GB, pre-orders begin June 15th
