If you’re a fan of the gritty, gory, and grimy goodness that is the instant cult film masterpiece known as Grindhouse, you may be interested in this two-disc Blu-ray collector’s edition. You’ll get both films, Robert Rodriguez’s Planet Terror & Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof along with 2 hours of bonus material. That’s a lot of car chasing, zombie biting, stripper-with-machine-gun-leg shooting action!
Starring the badass Danny Trejo, Machete is a non-stop action romp derived from it’s fictional trailer in Grindhouse. Machete, an ex-Federale, is willing to take down any one in his path while avenging the death of his wife and daughter. As you would expect from director Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, Grindhouse) the violence is so ridiculous it’s comical – and there’s a lot of it. There are also a ton of hot chicks in this movie including the steamy Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez (added bonus: you get to see Lindsay Lohan topless). The movie flaunts an incredibly diverse male supporting cast including Robert De Niro, Steven Seagal, Cheech Marin, and Don Johnson. That wasn’t a typo – Don Johnson is in this movie.
