The fire HDX starts at $379 and packs quad-core processing, an 8MP camera, and a 8.9″ HD display with over 4 million pixels. Their new Kindle now starts at the low price of $79 and the Kindle Voyage delivers a 300 ppi display with adaptive font lighting. Partnered with AT&T, Amazon will be in a player in the smartphone market come July 25th with the Amazon Fire Phone. The 4.7″ HD display is powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM and the phone has a 13 MP camera. One of the key distinct features is Dynamic Perspective, a custom-designed sensor system that responds to how you hold, view, and move your phone. Firefly, which is basically like Shazam for everything, allows you to press a button that’ll identify and take action (i.e. purchase) on music, movies, tv shows, phone numbers, web addresses, household items, books, and more. The phone also comes with a free membership to Amazon Prime and lets you stream content seamlessly from your phone to your big screen if you also have Amazon Fire TV.
Amazon announced their all-new tablet, the Kindle Fire HDX, which features a low-glare HD display with over 2 million pixels. The 2.2GHz processor is a major upgrade over the previous Fire model and increases performance 3x. A front facing 720p HD camera allows for Skype calls over Wi-Fi or the optional 4G LTE data plans from AT&T and Verizon. Available in 7″ and 8.9″ screen sizes and with 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB storage options – the Kindle Fire HDX starts at $229.
Amazon just introduced their new three model tablet range, the Kindle Fire HD. The 7″ Wi-Fi model retains the attractive $199 price point of the original Kindle Fire, but now two 8.9″ tablets are also being offered. The Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ 4G model is priced at $499 (Wi-Fi only is $299), includes 20GB of cloud storage, and a full year of 4G data will only set you back $49.99. The 8.9″ HD display is powered by a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor with Imagination PowerVR 3D graphics core and the tablet also features a front-facing HD camera that’s perfect for Skyping. As you’d expect from any tablet these days, each Kindle Fire HD model will provide access to web browsing, movies, music, social media, email, apps, and games. Ships on November 20th, but is available for pre-order now.
