Audi entered the supercar league when they introduced the R8 a few short years ago. The latest edition is the topless 5.2 Spyder which has a 525 hp V10 engine. Available with a paddles-shift auto or gated 6 speed the car will tantalize with either transmission and be sure to turn heads with it’s beauty. 0-60 is achieved in a short 4 seconds and with the top down people will see the smile on your face as your ripping through the gears. The R8 5.2 Spyder is based off the the Lamborghini Gallardo platform and is as stunning to look at as it is to drive. Starting around $160k it’s not cheap but tame compared to the price tag of a Ferrari. For a savings of around $50k you can get a hardtop R8 4.2 – at an expense of two cylinders and 105 hp.
