Lightsaber technology isn’t quite here yet, but we’re getting warmer. Kinect Start Wars for XBOX 360 will allow you to wield a lightsaber, pilot speeders & pod racers, and harness the force without a controller. While you won’t get to leave the galaxy, you’ll be able to force choke the crap out of opponents in your not so far, far away living room. Set with a release date of December 31st 2012, you can pre-order a copy of Kinect Star Wars now.
While it may seem insane to drop over a hundred large at a Chevy dealer, the Corvette ZR1 rivals the performance of exotic supercars at a major discount. The 2012 ZR1 is powered by an intimidating 638 hp supercharged V8 which will push the car to a freighting top speed of 205 mph. The lack of refinement is part of the allure of the ZR1 – the blistering 3.4 second 0-60 time is achieved through a 6 speed manual, and I’m sure it’s terrifying taking your hand off the wheel to shift while undergoing that level of acceleration. Large ceramic brakes bring the beast to an abrupt stop and the car also has a ton of grip, pulling over 1.1g on the skidpad. While it’s not going to turn as many heads as a Lamborghini, the Corvette ZR1 is one wild ride considering its $111k base price.

Since Avatar, it now seems like every big action or adventure flick comes to theaters in 3D. One would also think that any movies previously released in 2D (or as we like to call “flat”) just simply missed the boat. Think again. Very few movies warrant a re-release to theaters, but deservingly so, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace will be hitting the big screen in 3D on February 10th. We’ll definitely be making a donation to the box office to watch Obi-Wan and Darth Maul duke it out like we’ve never seen before – and we’re sure a ton of crazy Star Wars fans will too (even if they don’t edit out Jar-Jar for this release).

We previously shared some of The Black Keys with you in a song of the week post, but felt it necessary to also remind you to check out their album El Camino. Like their other work, El Camino maintains their garage style blues rock sound in distinct fashion. All eleven tracks on the album are solid, and the following tunes really stood out: Lonely Boy, Little Black Submarines, Money Maker, Sister, & Mind Eraser. If you like the sound of real drums, distorted guitar, and would rather rock than fist-pump – you should definitely give this album a whirl.
