It’s not quite summer yet and a light jacket often comes in handy. This stylish City Jacket from the gap is the perfect cover for spring and summer nights. The black polyester goes great with jeans and a T shirt, but will also look appropriate with business casual when you wear it to the office. At $80, it won’t break the bank either.

While a 1966 Shelby Cobra may cost upwards of $5.5M, you can still get the style and performance of the iconic sports car for much less. Factory Five Racing makes replica kit cars that maintain nostalgia while adding modern engineering, safety, and technology. These replica’s are meant for racing and there’s even an entire racing series dedicated to them. Kits start at $15k but you’ll need to supply your own engine, brakes, wheels, and paint. But when all is said and done, you’ll have a homemade race car that will hit 0-60 in under 4 seconds if it’s paired with some proper power.
Famous movie character Bullitt had it all – A well respected and tenacious detective with a hot girlfriend and a cool ride. Featuring car chases that were ahead of it’s time, Bullitt is a must see man movie. On top of the San Francisco-hill-jumping chase scenes, Bullitt also touts a thrilling plot and bad-ass acting from the king of cool – Steve McQueen. Originally released in 1968, it’s still awesome decades later and currently only $8 on Blu-ray at Amazon. No brainer!
A lot of famous people – athletes, musicians, movie stars and etc. – make a large part of their income from endorsements and licensing. While adult film legend Ron Jeremy is wildly popular, I don’t think many people expected mainstream products with his face and name on it. But behold, Ron de Jeremy Rum, “an exceptionally well-balanced 7-year old rum from Panama.” Admittedly, the label and novelty was what first intrigued me about this product, but the folks behind it sent Frachelli a bottle – and it tastes pretty damn good!
If you’re real into pop culture, comics, and animation – check out the high-end limited edition prints from KULT Studio. Ranging in properties from Mickey Mouse to Star Wars, there is a piece for everyone. They even have new designs for upcoming films Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger. Pricing also varies from piece to piece, the pictured “Ultimate Weapon” print costs $700 framed, but was created from a Death Star model photo taken by Academy Award winning special effects photographer Richard Edlund and signed by Richard himself. There are also some less “exclusive” items available on the site that cost under $100 as well.
We used to associate electric cars with golf carts and smart cars, but Tesla Motors has turned that all around. Tesla makes electric sports cars that rival the performance of gas-powered super cars. While top speed is limited to 125 mph, the Tesla Roadster uses 6,831 lithium ion cells to rocket from 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. The Roadster S even shaves off a little more time, hitting 60 at 3.7 seconds. When the battery is fully charged, the Tesla Roadster has a range of 245 miles and can be recharged with conventional 110-volt or 220-volt power outlets. Pricing starts at $101k for the Roadster 2.5 and $121k for the Roadster S.
One of my fondest memories from elementary school was when my mom bought me Mortal Kombat for Sega Genesis the day it came out (I had received a good report card a few weeks earlier). At this point I was already obsessed with the game from playing it at the Arcades and was dying to have it at home. Over a decade later, I still remember the “blood code” – abacabb. A new Mortal Kombat has just been released for XBOX 360 and Playstation 3 which promises gameplay similar to the original with modern graphics to make the gratuitous violence even more intense. Or as they say in the game description: “Characters, environments and fatalities have never been presented with as much gory detail as in this next generation Mortal Kombat. From internal organs to the most “realistic” blood effects, Kombat has never looked this good.” All I have to say is, “Finish him!”
Catfish is a unique documentary by indie filmmakers from NYC. Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman started filming Ariel’s brother Nev when he began an intriguing relationship with a family in Michigan. Nev, a photographer, is flattered when he receives a painting of one his photos from 8 year old Abby. He continues to connect with the girl’s family through Facebook and begins to fall for her attractive older sister, and that’s when things start to get real interesting. There’s a lot I’m intentionally leaving out about the plot, but that’s because it’s a movie you really need to see.

Similar to the partnership between Breitling and Bentley, luxury watchmaker Panerai has made some limited edition timepieces for Ferrari. These high-end watches feature Panerai’s automatic swiss movement, sapphire crystal faces, luminous hands, and fine leather straps with contrasting stitching. The styling of these five special watches reflect the gauges and instruments used in Ferrari cars.

Men and their badass toys…or in this case, their arsenal of Medieval-inspired crossbows! Made from hand-cut materials such as oak and ash and finished-over in the likes of beautiful cherry or piano-black wood, The Armors Shop/Old Knights’ Armor and associates manufacturers these rare relics: artifacts that hark back to the days of the Crusades and Dark Ages.
Most Medieval Crossbows boast of ranges between 20 and 30 feet. Some even go beyond that. The lodge (wooden part) is made from oak, cherry, or ash, depending on the customer’s….
A bit smaller than the famous Ray-Ban Wayfarer, the New Wayfarer is an equally stylish set of shades with a tighter fit. While they come in various colors and options, the black rubber version stands out from the crowd with it’s matte finish. Not only do they look cool, but they are extremely light and stay put on your face (even if you’re moving around or sweating). While each of the four pairs of Ray-Ban’s I own all look great, these are definitely the most comfortable.
As if the Lamborghini Gallard wasn’t badass enough – check out the Gallardo LP 570 -4 Superleggera. With the help of carbon fiber, this stripped down Lambo is nearly 500lbs lighter than the Gallardo Spyder and packs a 560hp v10. With a curb weight just shy of 3,000lbs that translates to an awesome power to weight ratio. The Superleggera is strictly business and as a result can hit a top speed of 202mph and zip from 0-62mph in a 3.4 seconds. Not sure I’d get it in lime green though….
