Will Ferrell has been cranking out movies the last decade, and let’s face it – not all of them have been great. One that’s worth a watch was Step Brothers which also stars funnyman John C. Reilly. While the humor was very juvenile, it’s simply hard not to laugh at this outlandish flick. Both Reilly and Ferrell play 40 year old losers who must live together when their single parents get hitched. It turns out the house was only big enough for one slacker, and childish malarkey ensues.
The Porsche 911 has been around for over forty years, but that doesn’t mean you can’t own a special one. Porsche just announced the 911 Black Edition. Only 1,911 will be made in this batmobilesque finish. Black paint, black leather interior, interior components painted black, black brake calipers…..I think you get the picture. It also has 19″ two-tone wheels borrowed from the Turbo model. A slew of other Porsche options bring the Black Edition to a starting price of $81k. The 6 cylinder 345hp engine will get the Black Edition from 0-60 in 4.3 seconds when matched with the PDK transmission (and with the Sports Plus Button pressed “on”). If you want to have a little more fun the old fashioned way, rowing through the six speed manual will get you there in 4.7.
If you’re a big Dexter fan, check out this limited edition silk-screen print from graphic artist Ty Mattson. Composed of themes from season 5 of Dexter, 200 of these 18×24″ pieces were printed and signed by the artist. Iconic elements of this season – including motivational speaker Jordan Chase, Dexter’s complicated relationship with Lumen, and Boyd Fowler, the Barrel Girl Killer make this print a unique and collectible piece of fan art. Ty also created individual prints from the first four seasons of the show.
If you’re trying to look uber manly in front of guests, pour straight whiskey over some whiskey stones. The basic idea is – ice melts and dilutes your drink, whereas stones don’t. Two days ago, Ferrari revealed it’s upcoming four seat model the FF. FF is an acronym for Ferrari Four, the “Four” representing the capacity to comfortably seat four adults and their luggage, but also the fact that it is Ferarri’s first ever four-wheel drive vehicle. Adding some practicality to the Ferrari range, the FF doesn’t sacrifice performance. The 651hp V12 will get the FF from 0-62 in 3.7 seconds and push the car to 208 mph. More will be revealed about the new Ferrari when it is officially revealed at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
Natalie Portman has been a big movie star for years, but it’s safe to say that her career has gotten even hotter recently. Black Swan got the little girl from The Professional a lot of attention and we can expect more great performances to come. I had a big crush on her when Episode II of Star Wars came out (got in trouble for cutting school to see it) and she seems to just get sexier as the years go on. You have to watch one of her movies to appreciate her talent, but you can certainly admire the way she looks with this 24×36″ poster.
Aston Martin makes very expensive sports cars that most people never get a chance to drive, and fewer get to own. The One-77 raises both the price tag and the exclusivity level through the roof. Costing approximately $1.75M the 700hp One-77 sits on a carbon fiber chassis and is shrouded in a hand built aluminum body. With the help of 7.3 liter V12, 0-60 is achieved in around 3.5 seconds and top speed is a blistering 220 mph. Only 77 were made making the One-77 a real treasure in the sports car world. Oh yeah, and it looks realllllly cool too.

Sam Rockwell has made a ton of movies, yet he’s not a household name. Alone on a moon mining station, Rockwell’s character is accompanied by a robot (similar to HAL in 2001: A Space Odyssey) voiced by Kevin Spacey. Nearing the end of his three year contract at the station, he begins to see things and the movie leads down a twisted path. Great acting, unique cinematography, a deep plot, and a powerful original music score make Moon a must see.
