The Bugatti Veyron has 1,000 horsepower and can do over 250 mph. There are very few places on earth where you can even drive that fast. Costing $1.7MM, you’d think a sports car couldn’t get any more ridiculous. Think again. Bugatti released an SS (Super Sport) version of the car adding 20% more power – and those 200 ponies will raise the price to $2.4MM, making it an even more outlandish super car. The SS does 0-60 in 2.4 seconds, 0-100 in 5 and is governor limited at 258 mph. The stats of the car’s performance are staggering, but the price of the tires is the biggest jaw dropper. A set of the special Michelin tires cost $42,000 and will only last a few minutes at the car’s top speed. Talk about a pricey track run.

Onlive, a new player in the gaming market, will allow you to play top brand games on your PC, Mac, or HDTV. Their high-speed cloud based gaming service allows you to stream games on demand, basically making Onlive the Netflix/pay-per-view of video games. Playing from your PC or Mac will require no additional hardware, and the “system” for your high def television will only set you back $99. It seems like a no brainer for gaming, but it does however lack the motion element that exists with Wii, Playstation Move, and Xbox Kinect. Onlive is new, but it’ll be interesting to see how many games are added to their library and if they incorporate new motion-sensing controls in future hardware updates.
